Services

  • Contracts for project management are conditionally divided into two phases: preparatory and operational.
  • Project team usually consists of 3 persons during the project definition phase: Project Manager, Drilling Engineer and Logistics Supervisor.
  • During the operations phase a project team consists of the following personnel: Project Manager, Drilling Engineer, Logistics Supervisor, Drilling Supervisor or two Supervisors day and night, if required, Drilling Geologist and HSE Supervisor (at the client’s request).

Organizational Chart of Projects Management

During project definition phase the project team usually performs the following duties:

  • Development of technical assignment for wells design;
  • Elaboration, coordination, approval and update of detailed drilling programs for well site construction;
  • Selection of companies and services required for wells construction;
  • Preparation, organization and execution of tenders for selection of contractors and service companies for wells construction;
  • Preparation of project contracts with winners of tenders;
  • Arrangements and conduction of inspections of drilling rigs prior to signing contracts for provision of services and prior to commencement of drilling operations.

During operations phase the project team usually performs the following duties:

  • Engineering support and supervision of well construction in accordance with the drilling program and the client’s instructions;
  • Liaising between the drilling contractor and service companies onshore and at the drilling rig;
  • Technical supervision of work performance on the drilling rig and onshore on daily basis;
  • Monitoring compliance with HSSE, fire and blowout safety;
  • Preparation and timely submission of geological and technological daily reports to the client during drilling operations (in Russian and in English, if required);
  • Control of mudlogging operations, execution of provided geophysical works, collection of core, cuttings samples and well tests;
  • Control of the implementation of technological processes on the rig during drilling, casing running, cementing, testing and well abandonment;
  • Preparation and submission of plans of specific operations during the construction, test and well abandonment in Russian and English (where applicable) for the approval of the client;
  • Control of training the personnel on the rig according to emergency response procedures to prevent possible incidents and hazards during the drilling operations;
  • Implementation of financial monitoring of the project on a daily basis, including start and end of daily and operating rates of equipment and personnel for all contracts concluded by client with a contractor for execution of works (services) related to the construction of wells;
  • Control of consumption and use of materials;
  • Carry out a preliminary acceptance of supporting documents on the work performed and the accounting and financial documents from the service companies for preparation of Completion Protocols on their basis, according to the contracts and agreements concluded by the client;
  • Control of acquisition of materials according to the contracts and agreements concluded by the client;
  • Control of activities associated with storage and delivery of materials, equipment and personnel to supply base, drilling rigs and back, as well as the prompt return of rental equipment to service contractors;
  • Coordination of land, air and sea transport and issue appropriate reports;
  • Coordination of operations in warehouses, utilization of rental property, materials and equipment and timely return of equipment from the Rig to contractors;
  • Control of compliance to international requirements for the health and safety (HSE — Health, Safety & Environment) and compliance to the procedures and requirements of the client’s safety rules by all contractors during operations on the drilling rig;
  • Identification of uncontrolled risks and environmental damage in the procedures for wells construction;
  • Participation in all safety meetings and drills conducted on the drilling rig along with the HSE specialist of drilling contractor;
  • Provide support to HSE specialist of the drilling contractor;
  • Support to encourage a strong safety culture on the drilling rig;
  • Control and enforcement of the final operations of the well construction and well abandonment;
  • Upon completion of drilling and well abandonment, client is provided with the following documents:
    • Report of the well abandonment in Russian and English (if required);
    • End of Well Report which includes a combined geological and geophysical column and analysis of work of service contractors.
